FlatFix is a professional and quick to install assembly system to place solar panels on a flat roof. The FlatFix system is ideal for homes and roofs of offices, etc. Due to the unique aerodynamic characteristics and smart use of ballast, the roof load, compared to open mounting structures, is low. The average roof load with the FlatFix system is approximately 20 kg per square meter.
FlatFix is a closed system that reduces the wind load on the solar panels. This not only reduces the required ballast on the roof, but also prolongs the longevity of the solar panel, because it is less exposed to the force of the wind and other weather conditions. The system is sufficiently open in order to vent so that the panels can cool down.
FlatFix comes in three standard setup angles: 15 degrees, 20 degrees and 30 degrees. All setup angles give a good yield. The choice of the setup angle is, amongst others, dependent on the available roof surface and the desired orientation of the solar panels. You can typically place most solar panels on the roof at a 15 degree angle. A setup angle of 30 degrees gives the best yield when the solar panels target the south precisely. Solar panels that are set up at an angle of 15, 20 or 30 degrees retain their self-cleaning properties."
MATERIALS AND INSTALLING
The solar panels are mounted on easy to assemble FlatFix consoles. The assembly system gets ballasted against heavy wind loads. By placing the ballast in the rear of the system and by closing up the sides of the arrangement with sealing plates, an aerodynamic solar energy system that is resistant to wind speeds of 13BF (120 + km/h) is created.
Materials and tools
The whole system is manufactured from high quality aluminium components. The assembly system comes with rubber mats to protect the roof covering. Each type or brand of solar panel can be mounted on the FlatFix system.
